Chairman’s Challenge

The chairman’s challenge serves multiple purposes for our club. It provides all members with the opportunity to make a piece, compare it to other entries, and then receive feedback on it from the other club members, thus allowing all to exchange ideas about techniques, tooling, and finishing.

Pictures are shown at our Zoom “chinwag” on the 1st Thursday of the month and put on display at in-person meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month.

We do not have separate categories for beginners or advanced turners, and there are no prizes to be won. The challenge encourages us to get into the workshop and make something.
